ARE COMPASS DATACENTERS’ TIES TO SURVEILLANCE IN ISRAEL “UNSUBSTANTIATED?”
Is the Topeka Capital-Journal article about Compass Datacenters 'unsubstantiated?'
This series will debunk the many misrepresentations in Compass Datacenters’ presentation to the Topeka City Council regarding the proposed hyperscale data center near 77th and Gary Ormsby, and we’re starting off with a big one.
Near the end of the questioning, the Compass representatives were asked about a recent Topeka Capital-Journal story on data centers they had built & owned in Israel that were used for surveillance of civilians in Gaza.
Here’s what our video doesn’t show: amazingly, after the question was asked, no immediate response was given. Instead, there was a short, awkward silence before the Council headed on to the next topic. It was the only time that evening that no canned answer began on cue - just silence.
Then the Compass reps listened to the next question and gave a full answer to that before finally circling back around to the curiously omitted one. Rather than address the concerns, they called the Capital-Journal story “unsubstantiated.”
